Our Processes

Steel Ventures, Inc. receives steel from Steel of West Virginia’s Huntington, West Virginia, facility as well as other businesses and plants in the surrounding region. Steel Ventures, Inc. coats a variety of products including truck trailer cross members, I-beams, solar posts, complex fabricated assemblies and parts.

Galvanizing

Hot-dip galvanizing is the process of dipping fabricated steel into a kettle or vat containing molten zinc at a temperature around 860° F (460° C ). While the steel is immersed, the iron in the steel metallurgically reacts with the molten zinc to form a tightly-bonded alloy coating that provides superior corrosion protection to steel.
